# The prospect has a problem, but no clear priority ยท The problem is recognised, but its priority is unclear All stories are fictional. They do not describe specific people, companies or projects. Any resemblance is coincidental. A prospective customer describes a slow internal process. They agree it would be useful to improve, but every follow-up ends with 'we'll come back to this later'. ## Where we could start I would separate acknowledged inconvenience from a funded business priority, then prepare questions that test whether the customer is likely to act. ## What you would have A go / investigate / defer recommendation with specific questions to resolve the uncertainty. ## Participants The person facing the problem, a relevant business owner and whoever decides which initiatives receive attention. ## Roles and decisions The customer defines the priority. I help review the evidence and prepare the next questions. ## Factual experience, separate from the fictional story [The cost of waiting is understood](https://apiperson.com/sales/sales-qualify-priority/consequence/) [The problem is recognised, but its priority is unclear](https://apiperson.com/sales/sales-qualify-priority/unclear/) [Book a 30-minute call](https://calendar.app.google/4FrxQkHkAZ32PkzA9) mailto:pavel@apiperson.com
