# Different stakeholders describe different needs All stories are fictional. They do not describe specific people, companies or projects. Any resemblance is coincidental. An operations manager wants fewer manual steps; a finance director is looking for cost control; the technical lead wants integration with the current system. ## Where we could start I would start by reviewing what is currently known, what the customer has actually said, and what remains an assumption. We could then select one useful qualification or discovery question before proposing more work. ## What you would have A concise situation brief with facts, assumptions, questions and a possible next step. ## Participants The customer stakeholders with different expectations, the customer-facing lead and a relevant delivery specialist. ## Roles and decisions The customer determines priorities; I help make trade-offs and missing agreements visible. ## Factual experience, separate from the fictional story [The expectations are recorded but not reconciled](https://apiperson.com/sales/sales-discovery-different-voices/mapped/) [We are treating them as one shared need](https://apiperson.com/sales/sales-discovery-different-voices/mixed/) [Book a 30-minute call](https://calendar.app.google/4FrxQkHkAZ32PkzA9) mailto:pavel@apiperson.com
